Are you ever stuck for ideas to help promote the learning of spellings? This 20 page PDF file consists of a variety of activities children will enjoy doing to help them learn their spellings. There are various characters in the story and this could be used as an introduction to a long novel, Shakespearian or Dickensian literature in preparation for Grammar/ Secondary school. There are pages to read and discuss so I have included a powerpoint presentation followed by comprehension questions, writing activities and drawing conclusions.
